The woods were part of the Ashridge Estate, just past Leighton Buzzard. Very busy, the sun was out, as were a lot of families, fold away chairs and gazebos. I found a walk from their website and as soon as you follow it away from the main visitor centre it becomes a lovely walk among the trees with hardly anyone else. Hannah brought her aerobie and once we were past the crowds managed to get a few good back and forths going. Obligatory visit to the cafe where the staff were very run of their feet. Didn’t spend much time there.
Ended day with a Ramon Blanc inspired wine marinated chicken on the BBQ. Lovely family birthday day!
